Podcast with ResourcesUnite!, Fellowstream Customer

If there’s ever a moment where any entrepreneur feels good about hours of work, it’s when they have the opportunity to sit down with a satisfied customer and chat.  I recently got to do that in a public way with Jon Filitti at ResourcesUnite!  Jon has been a Fellowstream user since our beta days and is not only a paying customer, but it is using it to manage Crossroads Counseling Center.

ResourcesUnite! isn’t your run-of-the-mill project.  It’s has the large and noble of goal of not only bringing together social services in the Dubuque, Iowa area, but to raise more awareness for people needing such services.  Their mission statement of “Directory, Analyze, Awareness, Activism” aims to better the health and lives of their entire community.  For me, it was quite an honor to be asked to talk with a group dedicated not only to being more productive, but to do so in a way that has a huge impact on the lives of the people around them.

A Truly Inspiring Social Services Project

So if you’re interested in hearing Jon and me chat, here’s the podcast:

Fellowstream Update: Stream Comments

It’s been a month since Fellowstream came out of beta, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy with updates and developments.  We have a lot of big new features we plan to add in the coming year.  For starters, we’ve added the ability to comment on tickets in the Stream:

Go ahead.  Say something.

Upgrading your Account (and a Place to Talk)

As we announced nearly two weeks ago, Fellowstream will no longer be free to all beta users starting January 16, 2011.  While we still have a free plan, 20% of our entire customer base (and almost all of our active customers) fell under a paid plan. Read the Upgrading and Downgrading your account FAQ here for specifics on how to manage your account.

As we expected, we received a lot of inquiries and outright complaints about our move.  In the spirit of open dialogue, I’ll answer some of the most common questions I’ve seen.  Please respond to any of my answers of the questions below and also ask some fresh ones of your own.

Deleting Projects and Transferring Tickets

If you use Fellowstream, you’ve hopefully seen our announcement that we’re out of beta.  Many users have asked us if there’s a way to delete old projects and move all those tickets into another project so they fall under either the free or basic plan.  Our plucky development team busted through a couple of days and created a little tool so you can do just that.

So if you’re interested in deleting projects and transferring tickets to another project, here’s how you do it.  First click the “Projects” header at the top of the app so that it leads you to the Project Overview Page:

Fellowstream is out of beta!

Huzzah!  It’s been nearly a year since we created Fellowstream, and we’ve spent our time adding tons of features like the Inbox and File Attachments.  With all the feedback we’ve received, we believe Fellowstream is finally ready to hit the marketplace as a fully realized subscription service.

Coming out of beta means that some accounts will require a monthly fee starting January 16, 2011.  We took a lot of time deciding how to structure our pricing.  We wanted to be affordable to small teams and offer a robust free trial.  Approximately 1/3 of our customers now  fall into our Basic plan ($9/month) or Pro plan ($29/month) categories.
